The large American cryptocurrency exchange Gemini now allows its users to buy cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) with Apple Pay and Google Pay.
According to an announcement on Thursday, Gemini users can now connect their debit cards to Apple Pay or Google Pay to purchase crypto with fiat on the platform. The company noted that user funds will be available to withdraw an hour after purchase.
The new feature is available for a total of more than 30 cryptocurrencies supported on Gemini, including major coins such as BTC, Ether (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH), as well as Ethereum-based tokens such as Aave (AAVE) . ), Dai (DAI) and Maker (MKR).
Gemini has not specified the amount of costs required to purchase cryptocurrencies via Apple Pay or Google Pay. The platform keeps 3.49% of the total purchase amount of deposits made via debit card transfers, while bank transfers and crypto-to-crypto deposits are free.
The cryptocurrency industry has expanded in recent months in terms of growing integrations with traditional financial payment services such as Apple Pay. In February, major crypto payment processor BitPay announced a major Apple Pay integration, allowing users to connect to Apple Wallet and pay for goods and services using digital coins such as BTC, ETH and LTC. Crypto payment company Simplex also allowed Apple Pay users to purchase thCOTI cryptocurrency in March.
